How much can I lower my car

Lowering height varies per application and some vehicles suspension designs limit how much a car can be lowered and function properly. We aim to have all of our systems meet a lowering range of 1-3.5 inches or more on many applications. We always suggest keeping in mind of road conditions in your area as that can play a major role in driving comfort and maintenance of the coilovers. Please remember that when lowering the car at any level, handling characteristics of the vehicle changes. We always recommend that our customers to get a proper alignment to correct the toe and camber setting your height.

Is there a warranty, and for how long?

Yes, the warranty is a ONE YEAR limited warranty against manufacture defects. The one year warranty is valid from the date of purchase until the next year. Products must be purchased new from an authorized dealer. This is explained under the warranty section in the website. Warranties must be registered on line within 30 days. NO EXCEPTIONS. If you do not register your product online within 30 days of purchase, we will not have record of you purchasing our product brand new. Therefore, we cannot and will not honor any warranty issues with our product. You will assume the responsibility of the coil-overs, which may require the purchase of new parts and/or components.

Are your shocks replaceable?

Our current, 3rd generation TYPE ONE (white TYPE ONE sticker), TYPE TWO (yellow TYPE TWO sticker), TYPE TWO.5 and TYPE THREE are all replaceable and serviceable. Replacement shock fees for the current generation TYPE ONE coilover systems start at $75.00 each. TYPE TWO coilover systems shock replacement fees begin at $100.00 each. Turn around time varies depending on how busy we are. Typical turnaround time is approximately 3-5 business days once we receive the product. We ship via UPS standard ground unless otherwise specified or agreed upon. Extra shipping charges will apply for all shipments shipped with services other than standard ground.

What is the best setup for my car? The TYPE ONE or TYPE TWO? I don’t do much tracking and want a comfortable ride.

TYPE ONE coilovers were made for those who want an affordable coilover that they can put on their daily driver, yet are durable enough to handle the occasional track days if you wish. TYPE TWO’s were made for the enthusiast who wants the adjustability of both height and damping. The spring rates on the TYPE TWO’s are a little more aggressive and stiffer. Which is best for you? That is always subjective… we can only produce the products and leave the tough decisions to you. Either way, you are getting a quality coilover with the company to back you up.

I have a warranty covered issue. How do I resolve it?

Take a look at our warranty section on the website for instructions on how to submit a warranty claim or contact us at All warranty claims are handled through e-mail.

Do the suspensions come with camber plates?

Many MacPherson style suspension systems come with camber plates. If you are unsure, give us a call and we can let you know if the application that you are interested in comes with the adjustable top front camber plates. The double wishbone suspensions do not come with adjustable top mount camber plates. The camber is adjusted differently; therefore they are not needed on double wishbone type suspension. There are other aftermarket companies that do offer camber kits. We always recommend getting your alignment done professionally.

Can I choose custom spring rates?

At this moment custom spring rates are only an option on TYPE TWO.5, but may be available in the future for other products.

Will you develop a suspension for my application?

We may already have your application in development! We are consistently developing new applications year round. Feel free to send us an e-mail regardless and we can inform you if your application is on the way. Input and feedback is always helpful and allows us to better serve you, the customer. We get many requests daily on all sorts of applications; however, we must see serious interest in an application before we take the time, money, and effort to engineer the coil-overs.

What goes into the design and engineering of your product?

We first start with the OEM suspension and specs. Fitment is always a priority with our products. We also strive to build OEM quality products that will give the customer peace of mind for years to come. We take the OEM damping characteristics and the desired damping characteristics by customers and find a happy medium of comfort and performance. We then road test our products. The majority of our customers use their cars daily with occasional track time. Yet daily driving comfort cannot be sacrificed and neither can durability. We road test our suspensions thousands of miles before release in everyday real world situations. Even though we gear our products for street applications, many of our applications see “Track Day” time with smiles and excitement by the users. We consider that an added perk to our suspension products. Developing new coilover applications does take time and is often a lengthy process. Therefore, new applications may take some time before they are ready to be offered to the public.

What is ONAIR?

ONAIR is an Aero Sport bag kit that can convert a Function and Form conventional coilover set into a air ride without needing to modify your existing suspension set.

What makes our air packages different from the rest?

The ONAIR Conversion Kits we offer tailor specifically to our current and existing suspension sets. They allow the customer to apply an airbag suspension to our sets with no need to modify anything and requiring only simple installation. Our air bag kits also allow our set-ups to be reversible and inter-changeable. Application of the air bags does not permanently alter the existing coilover set and allows the driver to pick their preference at their convenience. All components of the conventional coil-overs are single part replaceable.

Can I get an ONAIR Conversion Kit pre-installed on my Function and Form set?

Should you choose to purchase a TYPE ONE or TYPE TWO with an ONAIR kit, your coilover set will be pre-installed for you.

I already have a Function and Form coilover set, can I buy the ONAIR Conversion Kit and have it installed for me?

Unfortunately not. We are offering to pre-install only new sets purchased with ONAIR Conversion Kits.

What is covered by warranty?

Bags, brackets, and coilovers are all covered by a limited warranty against manufacturer defects through Universal Air Suspension (UAS) and/or Function and Form.

Can I get service or have repairs done outside of warranty?

Both UAS and Function and Form can service and repair bags, brackets and coilovers outside of warranty. Please email for more information.

Will there be an ONAIR Conversion Kit available for my application any time soon?

We are constantly undergoing R&D in hopes to meet our customer’s needs. We may even have your application in the works! Please check back on our site to see if an ONAIR Conversion Kit is available for your application.

Are ONAIR Conversion Kit compatible with all Function and Form coilovers?

Unfortunately they are not. They are only compatible with certain TYPE ONEs and TYPE TWOs (including TYPE TWO.5s). They are not available for TYPE THREEs.
