Honda S2000 Coilover Install Instructions
Welcome to the 2000–2009 Honda S2000 coilover installation instructions. This step-by-step guide is designed to make your install process smooth and straightforward. We’ve included the recommended tools, factory torque specs, and key tips to help you get the best results. While this walkthrough highlights the Function and Form Type 3 Coilover kit, the same steps also apply to our Type 2 and Type 4 systems for the S2000. For reference, our test vehicle is a 2003 S2000 AP1 equipped with 205/55/16 tires on lightweight wheels. Once installation is complete, we recommend scheduling a professional alignment after a short settling period to ensure proper handling and tire wear.
The Honda S2000, produced from 2000 to 2009, is celebrated for its high-revving F20C and F22C engines, near-perfect 50:50 weight distribution, and timeless roadster design. Its double-wishbone suspension at all four corners delivers razor-sharp response and excellent balance straight from the factory. Installing coilovers not only sharpens the S2000’s handling but also allows fine-tuned ride height and damping adjustments, letting you dial in the perfect stance for both street and track use. With its legendary performance and cult following, the S2000 remains one of the most rewarding platforms to modify, and coilovers are among the best upgrades to maximize its precision, control, and driving enjoyment.
