Acura RSX Rear Lower Control Arm (LCA) Installation Instructions
Welcome to the 2002–2006 Acura RSX DC5 rear Lower Control Arm (LCA) installation overview. This guide is designed to make the upgrade process clear and straightforward, covering recommended tools, factory torque specs, and key tips to ensure proper fitment and performance. These lower control arms are engineered as a direct replacement for the factory components and are compatible with stock and aftermarket suspension setups. Once installation is complete, we strongly recommend scheduling a professional alignment to ensure correct suspension geometry, predictable handling, and even tire wear.
Manufactured from 6061 hardened aluminum alloy, these LCAs provide a lightweight, corrosion-resistant upgrade over OEM steel arms while reducing unsprung weight for improved suspension response and vehicle feel. The durable black coating enhances long-term street and track durability, while integrated polyurethane bushings minimize suspension deflection, reduce wheel hop, and improve power transfer for sharper response and more consistent launches.
The Acura RSX DC5, produced from 2002 to 2006, is known for its rigid chassis, refined front suspension geometry, and balanced front-wheel-drive dynamics. As power and grip levels increase, upgrading key suspension components like the lower control arms becomes essential. These LCAs help maintain alignment integrity under load, enhance steering precision, and provide a solid foundation for further suspension tuning.
